Well if I’m honest with you this is the first Ive heard about it myself, so we are in the same boat if you like!
So today i heard from a friend about testing websites and i was all ears – he was telling me of some sites where you get paid to test websites.
As he was telling me i was thinking i will write about this tonight and inform my blog readers.
The website that started us talking is called usertesting.com With this website you can pay to have testers tell you what they think of your site and all the errors they encountered. As with all these type of sites, they need people to do their work, that’s where you step inn.
They will pay you for testing other sites in their database and pay you for each site you test.
So this type of working online is basically classed as a job – outsourced job – freelancing.
What you need to do
As a provider/freelancer of this site you will need to visit a set website that usertesting.com has asked you, then you will need to visit the pages on this website and browse at the content once you have spent some time doing this you will need to fill out a questionnaire of sorts all about the website you have just visited.
Each task/website will take 15-20 minutes to complete and once you have finished you will get paid for every website you complete.
The few tools you will need
The down side to this type of freelancing is you do need a few tools to get started,

~ A Microphone
~ An Online Recorder
Here is the best thing about using this site, they will provide you with the online recorder, once you get signed up for the task and you are accepted to the network.
So once you have sorted the few tool you will need, the reasons are as follows. Once you have accepted a job you will be asked to record your screen of all the activity you create while on the website, at the same time you will be asked to comment on your findings, anything you feel is incorrect or out of place, even spelling mistakes.
Usertesting pays you $10 for every site test that you complete and they only pay to paypal which is a good thing, so make sure before you sign up that you have a paypal account.
Now this is for real and you can make $10 for 15-20 Min’s work but remember not ever person will get the work and jobs, it will depend on where you are in the world how good you are at giving feedback and a few other factors, their is no guarantee that you will be needed and please don’t depend on this as a full steady income, as i always say when working online you must have multi streams of income and this is another to add to your folder.
How to get started!
First you will need to visit the site and get signed up, just scroll down to the bottom of the home page and click where is says “Get Paid To Be A User Tester” then follow the on screen instructions.
Once you have filled in all your information they will email you of up and coming tasks if you meet the criteria.
This freelance work will depend on your profile and will be different for each person involved, i might get 2 sites a day to test, you might get 1 a week.
