Make money with squidoo

So as always with me i ask the first relevant question !

What is squidoo – ?
Squidoo is a website where you can create a free page on anything you like – its a place of reference
of sorts and if you visit squidoo you will see that most of the squidoo pages are very knowledgeable articles and will be a guidance to the information you require.
These free pages i like to think of as small websites (but in 1 single page form) sqiudoo call these pages ( lenses ) and they can become very powerful – when you do a google search – a lot of the time i find these lenses on the first page of google
this is very powerful stuff and as a result squidoo holds a google PageRank of PR7.
squidoo receives about 1.3Million unique visitors everyday and about 5.2Million page views everyday!
As far as shere traffic to squidoo lenses goes squidoo ranks 233 in the world with Alexa.

So if i was to write an amazing article or post on this blog i would get some traffic and rank just OK on the SERPs but if i was to write the same post or article and place it on squidoo the chances are it would rank so much better because of how much power the site holds and the PR7 and traffic it generates.

So squidoo is a place to create posts and pages without having your own site, and if you don’t want everything that comes from having your own site but would like to earn money as if you had your own site, squidoo is for you.

Before i get into earning money with this powerful site i need to tell you a few things that will help you.
You cant use duplicate content, so if you posted the same article to ezine articles they will not accept your content! it must be fresh and unique every time with squidoo but this is what makes it so powerful
How can you make money with squidoo?

Well the first thing you need to do is write your content – when i write content for squidoo i tend to think of it as an article.
So the best you can do is follow the same guidelines as an article

 

~ write no less than 500 words
~ write about knowledgeable content
~ think about writing to help your readers
~ add links and lists to further help
~ don’t promote yourself and talk about your own sites
~ point your readers towards other helpful content

 
These guidelines above will help you to achieve a greater following on squidoo and helping your readers will have people coming back to read your content again and again.

This is the point to where you can start to make money with your squidoo lenses. Now you have your post article ready you can add many more options to your lens page, here is a list of the extra squidoo content you can add to your page to help you earn money and to increase the use of your lens page

How does this earn you money?

 

Well by adding google AdSense to your squidoo lens – everytime your readers clicks on a AdSense ad you will earn revenue, the same applies for amazon if someone buys something on amazon from your page YOU GET THE COMMISSION!!!
The same rule applies to all the sites that create revenue or commission -
If you are selling on ebay you can add and promote your related products with your squidoo lens page!!

This is a really cool feature and a nice way to make money online

 
How do you earn this commission?

 
You need to first sign up to all the affiliate programmes that you wish to add to your lenses – so in this example i would like to add amazon and google AdSense to my lenses. I first need to go to amazon and sign up to their affiliate programme they will then send me a code, you would do the same with AdSense they too will send you a publish code.
You now have your codes all you need to do is add them codes to your squidoo profile and then everytime you want to place a widget on your lens your can do it without having to re-enter your codes.
You can just add your widgets to your post and they will then be live and everytime somebody clicks on AdSense or buys from your amazon widget you will get paid and start earning revenue from your lens.
How to increase your squidoo earnings?
The most important way to increase your earning is to have lots of lenses all with as many revenue widgets on them as you can (but without taking people away from your content) that way the more lenses you have the more eyes are on your content and then on your widgets = more clicks and more sales!
The other way to increase your earning potential is to share your lenses and create backlinks in social bookmarking sites.
I know this can mean alot of work but, if you create good backlinks or bookmarks the chances are you could be earning revenue from your lenses for years to come.
Become a professional squidoo writer
As with everything online if you are good at something and enjoy what you do then you are more likely to make good money doing it. What i mean by this is,,, if you start to enjoy writing squidoo lenses then you could end up becoming a professional writer and earning ful time wages doing it. Their are people that make a lot of money with squidoo but it takes time and effort, on the upside its free to make money with squidoo and the more you put in the more you are likely to get out.
One more way to use squidoo lenses

If you like to promote companies that use affiliate programmes or want to drive traffic to a site or blog, then using squidoo with your links is a great way to do this – just remember to use seo tactics to rank your lenses well in the serps.
